Ramadan, the Islamic Holy Month, is expected to begin on or around 1 August 2011 and finish on or around 29 August 2011. During this time participating Consulates and Embassys can be closed at random times and refuse visa issuance during these times. Please factor this uncertainty into visa issuance delays.
Consulates and Embassys that could be affected are Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, Malaysia, UAE, Afghanistan, Jordan, Oman and Pakistan amongst others.

The Indian High Commission and Consulates Australia wide have introduced an online visa form. Effective immediately all visa application forms must be completed online. The Visalink website has been updated with full instruction and online visa form access.
