The High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will not be accepting any new visa applications as of Wednesday 14th of December 2011 and will be closed from 19 December 2011 to 9 January 2012 inclusive. Please factor this closure into visa issuance delays.

Ramadan, the Islamic Holy Month, is expected to begin on or around 1 August 2011 and finish on or around 29 August 2011. During this time participating Consulates and Embassys can be closed at random times and refuse visa issuance during these times. Please factor this uncertainty into visa issuance delays.
Consulates and Embassys that could be affected are Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, Malaysia, UAE, Afghanistan, Jordan, Oman and Pakistan amongst others.
